Our batch of Gayo specialty beans is wine processed, a popular method among Indonesian farmers that involves fermenting overripe coffee fruits and sun drying them on an African bed. Contrary to the name, there is no alcohol involved. This resulted in coffee beans that are incredibly layered and complex, with a strong liquor chocolate aroma followed by whiskey notes and complex fruitiness. It has a very juicy mouthfeel and vibrant acidity. This coffee is definitely an experience in and of itself.
